FEP silver plated film is a composite functional film made by depositing a high purity silver layer on the surface of F46 film using high-precision vacuum evaporation technology. This material combines the excellent dielectric properties and chemical corrosion resistance of fluoroplastics with the high reflectivity and thermal conductivity of metallic silver.

Technical Advantages

1. Roll to roll vacuum evaporation process

The company adopts mature roll to roll continuous coating technology, which can achieve uniform and high adhesion silver layer deposition on large format FEP films. The consistency and yield of mass production are among the top in the industry.

2. Aerospace grade thermal control performance

The solar absorption ratio of silver plated FEP film is as low as 0.08, the infrared emissivity is as high as 0.80, and the α s/ε ratio is ≤ 0.10, making it an ideal choice for the outer surface layer of multi-layer insulation components for spacecraft. This material has been applied in thermal control schemes for extreme temperature difference environments (such as the lunar surface -180 ℃~130 ℃).

3. Low orbital atomic oxygen protection scheme

In response to the erosion problem of low Earth orbit atomic oxygen on the silver layer, the company provides a SiO ₂ quartz glass protective layer (thickness 1-5 μ m) coating solution, effectively extending the service life in orbit.

4. High frequency and low loss characteristics

The dielectric constant of FEP substrate fluctuates within the frequency range of 24GHz~77GHz by ≤± 0.02, and the signal loss is extremely low. It is the preferred material for the insulation layer of high-frequency copper-clad laminates in the 5G millimeter wave frequency band.
